Introducing Sharks NFTs!

Beginning with the 2022-23 season, fans can earn, collect and trade exclusive sets of Sharks NFTs by attending games and engaging in other opportunities throughout the year. Don’t miss out on these unique collectibles that will not only add to your NFT collection, but give fans the opportunity to unlock more perks.

The Sharks will work with Ticketmaster and issue attendance-based NFTs at the following home games at the SAP Centre:

• Saturday 5 November 2022 – Los Tiburones
• Friday 25 November 2022 – Oakland Seals
• Saturday 7 January 2023 – Future Stars Night
• Saturday 25 February 2023 – Patrick Marleau Jersey Retirement
• Saturday 4 March 2023 – Women of Teal
• Saturday 11 March 2023 – South Asian Heritage Night
• Saturday 8 April 2023 – Fan Appreciation Night

What are NFTs?
An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unique, digital item with authentic blockchain-managed ownership. This means that a digital collectible can be verified as unique at any time by looking it up on the blockchain. Examples of NFTs include digital art collectibles, virtual reality items, ownership records for physical assets, and more. For more in-depth background on NFTs, click here.

What is a blockchain?
A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger (like a database) that stores transactions, ownership records and NFTs. At SSE, we will enable all distributed NFTs on the “Flow” blockchain. For more in-depth background on Blockchain click here.

What is the environmental impact?
Ticketmaster chooses environmentally friendly, energy-efficient blockchains with a low carbon footprint. Minting (which basically means creating) an NFT on the “Flow” blockchain requires less energy than a Google search.

What Sharks Digital Collectibles Are Planned?
Fans who attend select San Jose Sharks games (refer to full game list above) at SAP Center during the regular season will be eligible to receive a digital collectible at no cost. The design of the tokens will vary and each will have a special dedicated theme related to the respective game.

Who is eligible for an attendance-based Sharks Digital Collectible?
Every fan who scans into the SAP Center using a Ticketmaster SafeTix ticket at NFT-eligible games will receive a digital collectible via email. However, be aware of that one (1) token will be limited per Ticketmaster account regardless of how many tickets are on the individual’s account.

Are you going to battle with friends or family who want their own NFT? Before scanning your tickets into the game, send each person their ticket to use in their own personal Ticketmaster account. When they scan the ticket from their account, they will also receive the commemorative NFT delivered to their email address.

What is the significance of collecting Sharks Digital items?
You know how people always say they were at the Game 7 comeback against the Golden Knights in 2019 or at Timo Meier’s franchise-record five-goal game last season? Well, the Sharks NFT is authentic proof of showing you were on the Shark Tank for some of the most historic nights of the season.

Furthermore, there will be a utilitarian element where if someone collects all eight (8) Sharks digital items, they will be eligible to receive a special bonus NFT at the end of the season.

How do I receive and claim my Sharks Digital Collectible?
Access to the digital collectible will be made available via a link sent to eligible recipients after a qualifying registration scan. To access your collectibles, please take the following steps:

1. Click through the “Accept” button in the email or navigate to sharks-ticketmaster.live-nfts.com
2. Log in with your Ticketmaster account
3. You will see your collectibles, both newly received and existing, waiting for you in your collection

How soon should I receive my NFT after ticket scanning at the gate?
The NFT will usually be delivered within one (1) hour of ticket scanning.

How do I send the Sharks Digital Collectible to someone else?
Once you’re logged into your account and viewing your collection, click on the collectible you want to transfer.

Click the “Give” button, and when the modal appears, enter the email address of the desired recipient, then click the “Give” button once more to confirm the transfer.

Your recipient will receive an email notifying them that a collectible has been sent to them. They must click the “Accept” button in that email and sign in with their Ticketmaster account to complete the transfer.

If the recipient does not accept the transfer, the collectible will remain in your ownership until they do.

What can I do with my Sharks digital collectibles?

Collect – You can view your collection at any time at sharks-ticketmaster.live-nfts.com/wallet.

Share – You can share a link to your collectible on social media using the “Share” button to show that you were on the Shark Tank for the game.

Give – You can transfer your collectibles via email to any recipient you choose.

Sell – While we strongly encourage you to keep and collect all of your Sharks NFTs, as the owner of your digital collectibles, you will have the option to sell your NFTs in the future to other Sharks fans who may be interested in purchasing at Shark’s digital marketplace.
