New Type of Download Fraud, listed on Google Play is homing CryptoCurrency Owners

Specialists of ESET warn about a new type of fraud with cryptocurrency.

 

The application is described as a wallet for ADA, according to a press release from ESET. As a developer was named the company "Cardano Inc.", which has nothing to do with the Cardano project that is listed as a cryptocurrency.

 

After installing and running Cardano ADA, wallet prompts 

 

 you to transfer funds to a new wallet. However, the application does not generate a unique address for the user, but indicates the wallet of the hackers.

 

In addition, the application suggests exchanging other crypto-currencies for Cardano (ADA), including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Dogecoin and Ripple. However, when you try to exchange all funds are also sent to the attackers.

 

Now the fraudulent application has already been removed from Google Play.
